The 2020 presidential election has drifted into a third day as President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden face off in a tight race.
Keeping track of results can be hard. The Deseret News has a live election results tracker where you can see ongoing stories, updates and expectations from the race.
Finding a live map that shows the state of the race is less easy. Here are some options if that’s what you’re looking for on Thursday.
Google/Associated Press
Simply type “electoral map” into Google. You will be shown an updated electoral map from The Associated Press.
- The map shows how many electoral college each candidate has.
- The map shows the entire vote count for each candidate.
- There’s also a breakdown of each individual swing state.
CNN
CNN has a live presidential election results map.
- The map shows each state’s political leaning in the race.
- It also shows the percentage of the popular vote and the popular vote total for each candidate.
- You can also toggle between the projections, who’s leading, the battlegrounds and flipped states.
The New York Times
The New York Times has a full map that shows the electoral college breakdown.
- The map shades the swing states in gray with the percentage of the count.
- It also shows the House and Senate breakdown.
- There is also a margin for each of the swing states.
FiveThirtyEight
FiveThirtyEight doesn’t have a traditional map. Rather, the site offers a widget of information about the race.
- The widget includes information on the presidential results (both popular vote and electoral college breakdown) and the Senate and House races.
