The Iowa presidential caucuses kick off today, giving Iowa voters their first chance at picking their Democratic and Republican candidates for the 2020 election.
Time: The caucuses begin at 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m. MT).
Where: There will be 1,600 sites across Iowa.
What’s going on: The small gatherings could last two hours or just a few minutes, depending on the area of the state and decisions made by voters.
Who’s competitive: The following Democratic candidates are competitive in Iowa, according to The New York Times. One of them will likely lead out by the end of the night.

- The New York Times said: “Polls show an exceptionally fluid race among Mr. Sanders, Mr. Biden, Ms. Warren and Mr. Buttigieg, with Ms. Klobuchar trailing.”
Results: Early results will hit at 8:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. MT). Final results will trickle in at 11 p.m. ET (9 p.m. MT)
