Americans cities held more protests for a seventh day in a row in response to police brutality, racial injustice and the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck.
The protests came after President Donald Trump promised to send troops to different cities to “dominate the streets,” according to The Associated Press.
Nonviolent protests emerged in cities like New York, Salt Lake and more. People later smashed windows and broke into buildings in New York later in the evening.
Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville and Minneapolis saw a number of protests, too.
