A young boy named Hagen and his family landed at Dallas Love Field while on a recent trip. But the boy forgot something — his toy Buzz Lightyear toy.
When Hagen noticed his buddy was missing, the plane had already taken off to its next destination in Little Rock, Arkansas. Little did Hagen know that someone else was working to help his buddy return home, according to Southwest Airlines.
It had already been a hard time for the family. Hagen’s mom, Ashley Davis, said in a Facebook post that someone in her family had died and had to buy tickets within 24 hours to attend a service.
Matters turned worse when the Buzz Lightyear was left on the flight.
But it was a man named Jason, who is a ramp agent at the Little Rock International Airport, who noticed Buzz Lightyear. He investigated who the toy belonged to and found that “Hagen” had been written on the bottom of the shoe — an homage to Andy writing his name on the shoe in “Toy Story.”
Jason soon learned there was one “Hagen” who traveled on that day, Southwest Airlines said.
Days passed and then Hagen and his family received a box in the mail, according to NBC Dallas-Forth. Buzz Lightyear was inside the box along with pictures, a mission statement from Southwest and more, according to Southwest Airlines.
Buzz Lightyear had returned home.
“There’s definitely not enough good in this world, and for someone to take the time out of their day to do that for strangers means the world to us.” said Ashley, Hagen’s mom.
