Idaho Gov. Brad Little said Wednesday that all people from Idaho who are at least 16 years old can get the COVID-19 vaccine beginning on Monday, April 5.
- “I want to thank the close to 390,000 Idahoans who have chosen to get the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine,” Little said. “You have taken one of the most important steps during our pandemic fight to protect lives and get us closer to normal. Hundreds of thousands of Idahoans have received the vaccine because it is safe and it works.”
When can you book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in Idaho?
Little said Wednesday that all Idahoans can make appointments for vaccines, per KTVB. This means that there won’t be any prioritization for different groups to get the vaccine.
- Per KTVB: “All Idahoans over the age of 16, regardless of their age, medical condition, or occupation, will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.”
- Little said anyone from Idaho with at least one medical condition can get the vaccine beginning March 23.

Didn’t Idaho go viral over face masks?
This is good news for Idaho, which is a state that has gone viral for its feelings on face masks. For example, back in March, parents and children burned masks at the Idaho Capitol steps.
Utah can book vaccine appointments now, too.
Utah took a big step toward COVID-19 vaccination Wednesday as the state opened up eligibility to everyone 16 and older, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
- This will add close to 1 million people to the list of those eligible for the vaccine.
So how long will it take to vaccinate Utah? Well, Utah Department of Health spokesman Tom Hudachko told the Deseret News on Tuesday that there’s no timeline for how long it will take to vaccinate every Utahn.
