On March 25, Peeps and Pepsi announced they were collaborating for a limited release of a Peeps flavored Pepsi cola (though, Pepsi-flavored Peeps candies don’t sound half bad either).

As previously reported by the Deseret News, the special beverage is not available for purchase at grocery stores and the only way someone could get ahold of it was by entering a social media sweepstakes (which is now closed).

The announcement of the specialty cola drew a divided response as hundreds of interested parties took to social media to share their feelings on the matter. Here’s a small sampling of what they said:

A few people expressed disappointment that Peeps and Pepsi didn’t decide to run with the obvious name “Peepsi” for their limited-release beverage.

7-Eleven took advantage of the buzz to announce its own collaboration with Peeps.

Some people weren’t amused with the new product.

While others, in spite of their revulsion, confessed that they want to try the drink anyway:
