The U.S. is investigating two ‘mysterious, invisible attacks’ that made people sick
Federal officials are worried about these invisible attacks, one of which happened near the White House
- Sources told CNN that one of the incidents happened near the White House in November 2020 and “sickened one National Security Council official,” per CNN.
The Pentagon, which is investigating the matter, has not found any clear reason for these energy attacks, where an invisible force makes people sick. But, “the fact that such an attack might have taken place so close to the White House is particularly alarming,” according to CNN.
- According to CNN, investigators still don’t know the cause of these attacks or exactly what they are. In fact, “investigators still haven’t completely ruled out the possibility that the symptoms are caused by some kind of naturally occurring phenomenon rather than a weapon.”
The officials said “they are increasingly concerned about the vulnerability of U.S. troops in places such as Syria, Afghanistan and various countries in South America,” Politico reports.
Have these attacks happened before?
Per GQ magazine, a White House official once said she suffered from a similar mysterious attack while she was walking her dog.
- According to CNN, the sickened people may have suffered from “Havana syndrome,” which is the name for an unexplained illness that hit U.S. personnel in Cuba. This personnel experienced “ ear-popping, vertigo, pounding headaches and nausea” as well as a mysterious “piercing directional noise.”
Who is to blame for the mysterious energy attacks?
According to The Daily Beast, “investigators ... don’t know for sure who is to blame, though lawmakers were told that Russia or China could be the culprits.”
