Police in North Port, Florida, said Monday they are investigating a new photo that shows a man who looks a “heck” of a lot like Gabby Petito’s missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie.

Zachary Randazzo, an 18-year-old driving around North Port, snapped a photo about two blocks from the Laundrie home. The photo shows a man walking.

Josh Taylor, a spokesman for the North Port Police Department, told the New York Post that police are aware of the photo and are looking into it.

  • Taylor said the man in the photo has tattoos on his left arm, but Laundrie does not.
  • “Other than that, sure as heck looks like him,” he said, according to the New York Post.
Florida police say they’re ‘keeping an open mind’ with the Gabby Petito case

Laundrie, a person of interest in the case, has been missing since Tuesday. He was first reported missing on Friday, two days before officials found human remains in Wyoming that match the description of his girlfriend, Petito.

Petito and Laundrie traveled on a cross-country road trip throughout the summer, stopping in Utah locations such as the Mystic Hot Springs and Bryce CanyonCanyonlands and Arches national parks.

Laundrie returned home to North Port, Florida, on Sept. 1 without Petito. Ten days later, Petito was reported missing.

Last Friday, North Port police visited the Laundrie home after the Laundrie family reached out to them. North Port Police said in a statement that Laundrie was now missing, too.
