If you’re struggling to find love, it might not be your fault — it might be because of where you live.

A new study from WalletHub ranks the best and the worst cities for single people by using their “dating friendliness” score.

To investigate dating friendliness, researchers scored 182 cities across the U.S. on 35 metrics corresponding with three main categories: “economics,” “fun and recreation” and “dating opportunities.”

According to Chip Lupo, a WalletHub analyst, “The best cities for singles have large, gender-balanced single populations, along with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor, daytime and nighttime activities.”

Lupo continued, “They also have reasonable prices for dating activities or high average incomes to help ease the sting of inflation.”
