After a controversial logo change that drew national attention on social media and from both Republican and Democratic political leaders, Cracker Barrel has restored its old logo.
The logo restoration has also received a lot of commentary online, with many people celebrating it and other people wondering why everyone cares so much.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social about the company bringing back the old logo.
“Congratulations ‘Cracker Barrel’ on changing your logo back to what it was,” he wrote. “All of your fans very much appreciate it. Good luck into the future. Make lots of money and, most importantly, make your customers happy again!”
The change back to the old logo came after the company faced a lot of backlash over the new logo.
“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain,” the company said in a statement on X.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom takes credit for the old logo being restored
Another politician who had spoken out against the new logo was California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who then took credit for the return to the old logo.
In a statement on X, the governor’s press office wrote: “WOW! After Governor Gavin C. Newsom called for CRACKER BARREL to keep its old ‘beautiful logo,’ TODAY the company did exactly that! Thank you, Governor — America is grateful for YOU!"
His press office has also touted the change back the the old logo as a “MASSIVE WIN.”
The press office’s X account also quoted a post about Newsom and the logo change from Fox News.
“WOW. EVEN FOX NEWS IS CREDITING THE GREATEST GOVERNOR IN THE WORLD, I, GAVIN C. NEWSOM FOR MAKING CRACKER BARREL GREAT AGAIN!!!” one post read.
The social media accounts of Newsom’s press office have recently been writing posts “in Trump’s style, including writing entire paragraphs in all caps and touting his own achievements,” as part of a strategy to “counter” Trump, as the Deseret News previously reported.
