Colorado sees first snowstorm of the season

Colorado’s first major winter storm of the season hit on Wednesday morning, causing slow, slick travel along the I-25 corridor and the foothills during the morning commute.

Most of the Denver metro area is expected to receive 3 to 6 inches of snow and areas on the south and west side are expected to receive higher totals, per CBS.

Areas more east and northeast in the state will see lighter amounts of snow and dry air limits the totals there.

The snow is expected to gradually diminish through the day.
