MYTON, Duchesne County — One man was killed in a head-on crash with a semitrailer Wednesday.

Just before 7:30 a.m., a Honda Civic was traveling on U.S. 40 near Myton when the vehicle suddenly swerved into oncoming traffic, right in front of a tanker hauling a pup, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Even though the driver of the Honda was wearing a seat belt, he was ejected from the car due to the force of the impact, according to the UHP. The driver of the semi was not hurt.

The name of the man was not immediately released. What caused him to swerve into oncoming traffic was still being investigated Wednesday.
