CLEARFIELD — Police have identified the woman killed in an auto-pedestrian crash in Clearfield on Thursday.
Calista Taylor, 20, of Clearfield, was crossing the road near 700 South and the off-ramp for northbound I-15 about 6:40 a.m. when she was hit by a pickup truck. Taylor was taken to Davis Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition where she later died from her injuries, according to police.
The driver that hit her has been cooperating with police. As of Friday, there had been no arrests or citations.
Clearfield police say they are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call them at 801-525-2806.
On social media, friends and family members expressed their grief and condolences.
“Words cannot express the feeling of losing such a wonderful crazy child Calista Taylor mom and dad love you more than words can express. I will get to hold you in my arms again and you can tell me about all your adventures,” one man posted on Facebook.
“Thank you for always bringing us good vibes at work and encouraging me and others to do better,” wrote another.
