SALT LAKE CITY — The body of a Utah woman who went missing while on a business trip in Florida was found in a lake behind the Fort Lauderdale hotel where she was staying.

“It is with broken hearts we share that Kelly Glover’s body was found around 12 p.m. ET on January 11,” Glover’s husband, Adam Bremer reported Saturday. He was in Florida on Friday to help with the search, which included other family and members of the public, as news of Glover’s disappearance spread via social media.

Fort Lauderdale police later confirmed that Glover was pulled from a lake behind the Westin Hotel, at 400 Corporate Drive in Fort Lauderdale, where she was staying. They do not suspect any foul play, though an investigation is ongoing.

The 37-year-old project manager with CHG Healthcare had last been seen on hotel surveillance video walking down the stairs at the hotel without shoes at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, police said. A friend Glover was sharing a room with at the hotel woke up two hours later and saw that Glover was gone, but her wallet and phone were still in the room and the door was left slightly open.

“I usually get up before her and I send her the first message in the morning and not one morning has gone by where I haven’t heard from her by 9 o’clock,” Bremer said, adding that he hadn’t heard from Glover at all on Friday morning.

He said the video shows his wife — who was wearing pajamas, a light sweater and socks — going to an exit that leads to the lake.

Glover had worked in various positions at the Midvale-based CHG Healthcare since 2008, according to Linkedin.

Ryan Glover said his cousin was “an experienced traveler” and “a very independent person.”

Bremer said a funeral for his wife will be held in Salt Lake City after plans are finalized.

“The family thanks everyone for their support and generosity during this time,” he said.
