SALT LAKE CITY — Cache County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Logan man who they say tied up a woman and sexually assaulted her.

Conner Isaac Clifford, 28, was booked into the Cache County Jail for investigation of aggravated kidnapping, object rape and forcible sodomy.

On Saturday, a woman reported that Clifford “used electrical tape to tie her hands behind her back. Conner put a sock or handkerchief in her mouth and put electrical tape around her head to hold the sock in her mouth,” according to a police booking affidavit.

Clifford then sexually assaulted the woman, police say.

The woman later confronted Clifford about the incident in a text and a recorded phone call, during which he “apologized and admitted the allegations were done without (her) consent,” according to the affidavit.
