WEST VALLEY CITY — A nearly 2-month-old West Valley girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert Sunday night was found safe.

Leticia Lee Vigil, 29, was accused of taking Viana Vigil about 11 a.m. Saturday. The alert was issued about 9:40 p.m. Sunday. Vigil lost custody of her daughter on Oct. 27, according to West Valley police. The child was placed in the care of another family member.

Police say this is not a case of custodial interference as “the biological mother has no rights to the child, which escalates the taking of the child to the status of abduction.”
