SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control will open a new style of liquor store Monday in Saratoga Springs.
Over the past several years, DABC has been developing prototypes to enhance customer experience, including better displays, wider aisles, appropriate flow and checkout queuing, attractive and well-placed product signage, and natural light without allowing direct sunlight on products.
The 11,250-square-foot Saratoga Spring store, 1285 N. Exchange Drive, was designed with a warm and welcoming entry and outdoor landscaping, according to DABC. It includes a premium products room that displays rare and special products in individually-lit windows. There also is a wine and spirit section.
A rounded cashier counter with a single line is also new to state-run liquor stores, which have typically been more in a multiple cashier chute style arrangement.
The new store opens at 11 a.m. Monday.
