CLEARFIELD — The death of a man in his Clearfield home is being treated as a homicide investigation by police.

A neighbor was checking on the welfare of 53-year-old Kelly Bodily and called 911 about 2:20 p.m. Monday, according to Clearfield police. Officers arrived at Bodily’s residence in the area of 300 N. Bruce St., and found his body.

“Officers quickly determined there were circumstances surrounding this death that were not consistent with a natural or self-inflicted death. Officers secured the home, applied for, and were granted a search warrant to enter the home for further investigation,” police said in a statement.

A cause of death had not been released as of Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone who may have had contact with Bodily between Saturday night and Monday afternoon, or anyone who “may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area” to call them at 801-525-2806.

Detectives are also looking for anyone with home surveillance cameras or Ring doorbells with recorded footage between Center Street and Fern Drive, east of Main Street, from Saturday.
