Senior artists put their souls into shoe project for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah

Dick Munson, a resident at The Ridge Senior Living in Salt Lake City, paints a pair of Toms shoes during the senior living center’s Soles for Souls event on Tuesday. Residents and team members painted shoes and tote bags that will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. “This donation is part of our commitment to give back to the greater community,” Mandy Hampton, chief operating officer for The Ridge Senior Living, said in a statement. “This Soles for Souls event will promote the bonds formed among our staff and residents as well as offer a unique way to enhance the lives of others living in Salt Lake City.” The residents will present their donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah on Wednesday.
