Authorities identify man killed in Duchesne County crash

ARCADIA, Duchesne County — Authorities have identified a tanker truck driver killed when his vehicle rolled Friday.

Kevin Olin Nye, 59, of Roosevelt, was dead when deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, near 13000 West and 3800 South, at about 10:40 p.m. on Friday.

It appears the tanker left the road and rolled, according to sheriff’s deputies, who also reported the single-vehicle crash was not witnessed. Another driver came up on the crash and called police.

“The sheriff’s office extends its sincerest condolences to Mr. Nye’s family, friends and co-workers,” authorities said in a statement.
