KIMBALL JUNCTION, Summit County — A Summit County sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon with injuries suffered in a car accident north of Park City.

The deputy was transported via ambulance with head injuries and a possible rib injury after the collision with another vehicle, which occurred at the intersection of state Route 224 and Olympic Boulevard about 4 p.m., according to Summit County Sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Wright.

The Utah Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation. Troopers did not yet know who was at fault, although Wright confirmed the deputy was not in pursuit.
