WEST JORDAN — A woman died Monday in a bizarre accident in which she was pinned by her car against her carport, according to police.
West Jordan police were called about 9:15 p.m. to the area of 3200 West and 7500 South where they found a 43-year-old woman trapped between her Subaru Legacy and the brick exterior of her carport, said West Jordan Police Sgt. JC Holt.
She was unconscious when emergency crews arrived and never regained consciousness, Holt said. Her torso was wedged between the wall and the driver’s side of the car.
The woman was found by her elderly parents whom she lived with, he said. It was not known how long the woman was pinned before she was discovered. The woman’s name was not immediately released.
Holt did not know if the car was still running and idling when the woman was pinned, or if it was possibly left in neutral.
