FORT DUCHESNE, Uintah County — A Uintah County man was killed in a rollover crash in which he and his passenger were ejected.
About 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Trevor Shane John, 30, of Randlett, was driving on 7000 South near Fort Duchesne when missed a curve in the road and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll, according to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office.
Neither John nor his passenger, a 19-year-old woman, were wearing seat belts and both were ejected from the vehicle, the sheriff's office stated. The woman was able to walk to find help, but John had died by the time she returned.
No update was immediately available Tuesday on the woman's condition.
Alcohol and speed were believed to be factors in the crash, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.
