Here comes the sun: Sunflower festival welcomes visitors

People walk through a field of sunflowers at the Cross E Ranch Sunflower Festival in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. The festival features a 14-acre sunflower field planted with over 20 varieties of different shapes, sizes and colors. Hours are 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $9.95 for ages 3 and older on weekdays. On Saturdays, tickets are $12.95 for guests 12 and older and $9.95 for children 3 to 11 before 7 p.m., and $14.95 for those 12 and older and $9.95 for children 3 to 11 after 7 p.m. Due to COVID-19 precautions, all tickets must be purchased online for specific times at crosseranch.com. Congregating groups must be limited to immediate family or less than 20 friends. Cut sunflowers, as well as containers, pails, treats and drinks will also available for purchase.
