OGDEN — A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Washington Boulevard Saturday night.
Police said a 71-year-old man was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson south on Washington Boulevard when he struck the rear of a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, which had stopped in the travel lane for a red light. The impact of the collision at the 2000 block threw the driver of the motorcycle over the handlebars and onto the pavement, according to a statement from Ogden police.
The rider suffered extensive head injuries as he wasn’t wearing a helmet, and he died at the scene, police said. There were no injuries reported for the 20-year-old driver of the Elantra.
The Ogden Police Traffic Bureau responded to investigate the accident. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
