LAYTON — Police have identified the man shot to death in Layton Saturday night as 34-year-old Jonathan Trujillo.
Police found the Layton resident lying in the street and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near Church Street and Golden Avenue at about 8 p.m. after responding to reports of a shooting in the area.
Despite efforts from first responders, Trujillo was pronounced dead at a hospital that night, according to Layton police.
Police said witnesses heard gunfire and were cooperating with officers Saturday night, but as of Monday no arrests have been made.
