Mike Doyle, left, one of the pilots of the B-25 bomber Maid in the Shade, introduces the aircraft to Abram Torres, 14, at the Heber Valley Airport in Heber City on Monday. Built in 1944, the plane, which will be on display until Sunday, was developed by North American Aviation and used mainly as a low-altitude strafe and skip bomber. Nearly 10,000 B-25s were produced and the B-25 Mitchell Maid in the Shade is one of 34 still flying today. Tours will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Tickets are $10 per person and $20 for a family of four. Tickets can be purchased at the Commemorative Air Force Utah Wing Museum, 2265 W. Airport Road. No reservations are required. Rides on the plane will also be given from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday through Sunday. Tickets are $325 to $590 per person depending on the seat. To book a flight, log on to azcaf.org/location/heber-city-ut-tour-stop.
