TAYLORSVILLE — A woman died early Friday after being hit by multiple cars on I-215 near 3800 South, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Troopers say they are unsure why the woman, whose name has not yet been released, was on the freeway that morning. First calls reporting the incident came at 12:38 a.m. Friday, according to UHP trooper Chris Bishop.
“We’re still investigating the cause, and that’s why we have our investigators out there trying to figure out why she was on the freeway and what caused her to be in that location. We are looking at all angles,” Bishop said.
Their investigation includes talking to the woman’s family and friends, trying to piece together a timeline.
