CEDAR CITY — Cedar City police are looking for the driver who hit a man in a parking lot on Monday, causing fatal injuries, and then took off.
About 7 p.m. a 37-year-old Cedar City man was struck in the parking lot of Home Depot by a gray or silver older model Dodge Stratus, according to Cedar City police.
“It is believed that the suspect intentionally struck the victim,” police said in a prepared statement.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. His name was not immediately released pending notification of family members.
The vehicle did not have a license plate and the rear passenger tire is either a spare or was missing a hubcap, police stated. The driver is described as an adult white man with dark hair last seen wearing a bandana covering his face, according to police.
