Families in the cold climate regions of Ecuador will be a little bit warmer soon, thanks in large part to the students of Eagle Bay Elementary School.
The Farmington school’s Spanish immersion students have been studying the traditions of Spanish-speaking countries and engaged in a service project to knit hats for families that live in these colder areas of Ecuador.
On Wednesday, the students gave up their recess time to work on the Warming Hearts and Heads in Ecuador project with a goal of making at least 80 hats by Dec. 20.
