Popular event draws large appreciative crowds to downtown venue

A gathering of Greek cuisine, traditional music and performances as well as a chance to learn more about the state’s Greek heritage came together at the Salt Lake City Greek Festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday in downtown Salt Lake City.

Now entering its fifth decade, the popular festival delivered on sights, sounds and smells. It also served as a great opportunity for many to celebrate the state’s cultural heritage, tour Holy Trinity Cathedral and learn about the Greek Orthodox Church’s charitable programs around the valley.

Deseret News photo journalist Scott G Winterton captured these images of the popular festival.
