Firefighters are responding to a more than 10-acre blaze that started north of the University of Utah early Tuesday.

Dubbed the Dry Creek Fire, Utah Fire Info estimates that the blaze is 10 to 20 acres in size. No structures are threatened at this time, but officials are asking the public to stay away from the City Creek area, as well as trails along the foothills behind City Creek, Dry Creek and the Avenues.

Multiple ground and air resources are responding to fight the fire, Utah Fire Info said. Salt Lake fire officials said the fire is approximately 2 miles north of the University of Utah, but due to the rough terrain, resources are currently unable to reach it on foot.

The fire is on state land, and crews are working to ensure it doesn’t spread, the Salt Lake City Fire Department said.
