Human remains found near I-15 in southern Utah

WASHINGTON, Washington County — A human skull was discovered off to the side of I-15 in Washington, in Washington County, on Monday.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Alexander said a company who was contracted to clean up litter and debris at the I-15 right of way discovered the human remains.

“They reported the finding to UHP who responded to secure the scene. Troopers and SBI (State Bureau of Investigation) agents are investigating,” he said.

A Utah Department of Transportation camera showed the right shoulder on northbound I-15 in the area blocked as police were investigating Monday evening.
