A new wildfire sparked in central Utah on Monday, and firefighters say it burned an unoccupied building and outbuilding before it was contained.
The fire, dubbed the River Ranch Fire, sparked in the Sevier River Estates area northwest of Yuba Reservoir Monday afternoon, quickly growing to 20 acres, according to Utah Fire Info, a mix of state and federal firefighting agencies.
About 3:30 p.m., fire officials said the fire had been contained.
It wasn’t immediately clear what started the fire or which structures were destroyed.
