Utahns can now showcase their hockey fandom on the road with newly released first-ever Utah Mammoth license plates.
In June, the Smith Entertainment Group unveiled the first Mammoth specialty license plate, as well as a new Utah Jazz plate. The Utah Mammoth plate was made available through the Utah Division of Motor Vehicles on Tuesday.
Along with the initial standard plate fee, part of the proceeds from each purchase of a Mammoth plate will go to benefiting Utahns through the SEG Foundation. The foundation supports a variety of causes across the state.
“This plate will generate funds for the SEG Foundation to support programs for Utah’s youth and community,” according to the official listing on the Division of Motor Vehicles website. “This plate generates funds to support these programs and is available to any person who desires to make the required contribution.”
There is an initial fee of $25, plus an annual fee of $25. This is on top of the standard fees required for any license plate.
The specialty plate can be personalized with as many as six alphanumeric characters. It is not available for motorcycles.
The new license plate is the first one issued since the hockey franchise relocated to Utah from Arizona in 2024. The plates feature the official Mammoth team branding and marks that were adopted when the team was named in 2025.
