Parts of New Orleans has seen up to 10 inches of snow this week — more snow than it has in decades — according to NBC.

The rare weather has caused power outages, road closures and other struggles to city workers, residents and tourists alike. City leaders are trying to do what they can to keep everyone safe at this time, per NBC.

But some are still finding ways to enjoy the weather.

On Tuesday, NewsNation meteorologist Max Tsaparis posted a video on X of a snowball fight happening on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.

According to WDSU6 News, residents are being encouraged to join in on snowball fights in various locations throughout the city as they try to make to most out of the weather conditions before it melts.

“This has been great! It’s been a great experience!” one participant told WDSU6 News as he continued to throw and get hit by snowballs.

Residents and tourists could also be seen skiing down Bourbon Street as well as trekking to restaurants that are still open, per NBC.
