Trailblazing Tradition: Longhorn cattle drive kicks off Days of ’47
Saddle up and step back in time as the streets of Salt Lake City once again host the hooves of horses, cattle and wagon wheels. The annual Longhorn Cattle Drive happened Monday morning, marking the start of this year’s Pioneer Day celebrations. Gov. Spencer Cox and first lady Abby Cox led the drive on horseback through the streets of downtown to the Utah State Fairpark Arena where the Days of ’47 Rodeo runs through Saturday.
