A prototype microreactor built by California startup Valar Atomics has arrived in Utah for testing, part of a broader push to develop a new generation of nuclear reactors. The system was transported in modular components aboard U.S. Air Force cargo planes and has not yet been fueled or activated. Deseret News reporter Eva Terry interviewed 27-year-old Valar Atomics CEO Isaiah Taylor and toured the site near Orangeville where the reactor will be tested and researched.
