Rescue teams are racing to reach survivors after 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening, killing at least 164 people and injuring nearly 1,000. The state of La Guaira, north of Caracas, saw the worst destruction. Acting President Delcy Rodríguez has declared a state of emergency.
