Sen. Mike Lee introduces bill targeting child trafficking loopholes at the border
Utah Sen. Mike Lee introduced the Stopping Border Surges Act, a bill he says would close loopholes in federal immigration law that allow adults to exploit children to enter the U.S. illegally. The bill would require trafficking victims to receive a hearing within 14 days and mandate that HHS share sponsor data with DHS.
