Church of Jesus Christ Donates $3 Million to Great Salt Lake
The Office of the Great Salt Lake Commissioner is receiving a $3 million donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to support wetland preservation at the Great Salt Lake.
The funds will be put into the eradication of invasive phragmites surrounding the lake. The non-native plant, also known as common reed, negatively impacts wildlife and waterways.
