"Old Gringo," starring Jane Fonda and Gregory Peck, has completed principal photography on locations in Mexico with Louis Puenzo directing.

The dramatic film, set during the Mexican Revolution, became controversial before production when Peck replaced Burt Lancaster. The cast change involved problems with insuring Lancaster, who had undergone heart surgery.Fonda plays a prim American governess caught in a love triangle between an American expatriate (Peck) and a fiery young general (Jimmy Smits) in Pancho Villa's army.
