Sidney Moncrief, a five-time NBA All-Star dropped by the Milwaukee Bucks because of knee problems, said Friday he is retiring from basketball to become a broadcaster for the Dallas Mavericks.

Moncrief, 32, who spent his entire 10-year NBA career with the Bucks, announced his retirement at Hall High School, which he attended before his career with the Bucks and as a guard at the University of Arkansas.
