Dec. 6 was the first anniversary of Roy Orbison's death and his wife, Barbara, chose to let the occasion pass quietly. "It's been an extra special year," she told The Boston Globe. "I never expected to live through it quite this way. Long before he was gone, I would tell him, `What am I going to do when I lose you?' " Barbara has a biography of Orbison coming out next year and is working on a home video documentary about the legendary singer. She's also trying to put together a benefit for the homeless next year and has invited members of the Traveling Wilburys and other Orbison colleagues to perform.
