Gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi, his wife, Marta, left, and daughter, Andrea, were among 1,200 who took the oath of U.S. citizenship in Houston on Monday. Karolyi defected from Romania in 1981. He started a gymnastics school in Houston, training Olympic medalists Mary Lou Retton, Phoebe Mills and Julianne McNamara. He coached Nadia Comanici previously.
