David Jenkins, a former British track star who won a silver medal at the 1972 Olympics, was ordered released from prison Friday after serving nearly a year for masterminding a massive steroids trafficking ring.

A member of Britain's 1972 1,600 meter relay team, Jenkins was accused of running a ring that provided up to 70 percent of the steroids sold on the American black market.
