Evan Twede Advertising and Smith & Clarkson Design have announced their intention to merge and operate under the name of Clarkson, Twede & Smith in newly expanded offices at 331 Rio Grande.

"This merger satisfies a number of needs on both our parts," said Larry Clarkson, president. "Evan (Twede) has a solid reputation in broadcast for his big ideas and the larger than life positioning he creates for his clients. That, combined with our strong design and marketing reputation, should make for an unbeatable combination," he said. While the three partners share creative responsibilities, Clarkson will oversee financial affairs, Twede will direct new client development and Smith will administer the office.

Evan Twede Advertising is best known for its Tel America Mel Tillis commercials. The company also was involved in Gov. Norm Bangerter's recent re-election campaign and has a "Get a Haircut" campaign for Haircuts Plus.
