Valley Camp of Utah Inc., has received a contract to deliver 450,000 tons of coal during the year that began July 1 from its Belina Mine near Sco-field, Utah, to Intermountain Power Agency generating station at Lynn-dyl, Utah.
Valley Camp has recalled miners placed on standby when operations at the mine were halted in March after the company agreed to end production for Utah Power & Light Co."Since March, we have maintained the mine and prepared new lease sites for additional mining as opportunities arise," said Belina president Walter L. Wright. "We are aggressively seeking new business and the IPA contract is an important first step."
Valley Camp of Utah Inc. is a part of The Valley Camp Coal Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quaker State Corp., Oil City, Pa.
