Wicat Systems Inc. of Orem has been awarded a U.S. Navy contract to provide computer-based training hardware, courseware development tools and consulting F-14 pilot and radar intercept officer training.

Robert W. Mendenhall, Wicat president and chief executive officer, said, "The military remains one of our most significant areas of expertise and the F-14 contract is especially significant because Wicat was selected due to our ability to meet all the Navy's learning center and fleet exportability requirements."Wicat computer-based training systems were previously selected to provide similar computer-based instruction for the Navy's A-6E and EA-6B. The company also is providing training systems for the Navy's E-6A aircraft, AEGIS guided missile cruiser and Trident submarine.
