Project 2000 and the Coalition for Utah's Future have merged into one organization. However, both groups will maintain separate boards of directors with a shared executive committee.
Former Utah Gov. Scott M. Matheson, who was chairman of the Coalition for Utah's Future, was named chairman of the new organization. Attorney Clayton Parr, who was Project 2000's chairman, was named vice chairman.Other members of the joint executive committee are Georgia Ball, Jeffrey Hatch, Michael Zimmerman and Lynn Blake from the Project 2000 group, and William Smart, Irene Fisher, John Pingree, Gerald Sherratt and Victoria Palacios, from the coalition group.
Stephen Holbrook is the new executive director for the joint organization. The new Project 2000/Coalition for Utah's Future organization was formed to raise awareness and take action on critical issues facing the state.
